When is October half term 2026 in Leeds?

For Leeds City Council community schools, October half term 2026 runs from Monday 26 to Friday 30 October, and children go back on Monday 2 November. Academies and other schools can set their own dates, so check with your child's school.

How many packs of braiding hair do I need for a child's braids?

It depends on the length, size and style of the braids. Many children's styles use fewer packs than adult styles, but it is safest to buy one extra pack so you don't run short mid-style. Ask in store if you're unsure.

How do I make braids last through half term?

Keep the scalp clean and lightly moisturised, cover hair at night with a satin bonnet or scarf, and avoid heavy products that build up. A light braid spray and a soft edge brush help keep them neat.
