Common questions

What is good for a child's dry or ashy skin? Short, lukewarm baths, patting dry, then lotion or butter straight away while skin is still a little damp.

Should I patch test? Yes. Try a small amount on the arm first, especially with fragranced products or eczema-prone skin.

What if the dryness does not improve? Persistent dry, red or itchy skin should be checked by a pharmacist, health visitor or GP.

Baby & Kids Skin Care FAQs

What can I use on my baby's dry skin?
Use a gentle lotion or oil made for babies. If dry skin does not improve, ask a pharmacist or health visitor for advice.
What is the difference between baby oil and baby lotion?
Baby oil seals in moisture and is often used after a bath or for massage. Baby lotion is lighter and absorbs quickly for everyday use.
Which baby wipes are best for sensitive skin?
Look for wipes labelled sensitive or fragrance free.
