Which one do you need?

• Beard and moustache colour: a thicker brush-in gel made for coarse facial hair. Use this on the beard rather than a head hair dye.
• Hair colour: comb-in or shampoo-in colour that works in around five to ten minutes.
• Gradual grey reducers: shampoos such as Control GX that lower grey a little with each wash, for a change nobody notices overnight.
• Shade: if you are between two shades, pick the lighter one. It is easier to go darker later.

Common questions

Do I need to do a skin test? Yes. Do an allergy test 48 hours before each use, as the instructions say. Reactions to hair colour can be serious, and skin on the face is sensitive.

How long does beard dye last? Usually until the hair grows out, which for beards means a touch-up every week or two.

Will it look natural? Leaving the colour on for the shorter end of the recommended time keeps a little grey and looks more natural.
