Collection: Closures & Frontals

Closures & Frontals

A closure or frontal is the lace piece that finishes a sew-in or wig, covering the top so none of your own hair is left out and the parting looks natural. We stock over 40 human hair and synthetic closures and frontals from Rush, Dressmaker, Remi Goddess, Sensationnel and Sleek.

Which one do you need?

  • 4x4 closure: a four inch square at the crown. The easiest to fit and maintain.
  • 5x5 closure: a little more parting space.
  • 13x4 frontal: lace from ear to ear, recreating the whole hairline so hair can be worn back.
  • Free part or middle part: free part can be parted anywhere within the lace.
  • Closure piece: a simple non-lace piece for a quick finish.

Common questions

Closure or frontal? A closure is cheaper, easier and lower maintenance. A frontal gives more styling freedom but needs more skill and upkeep.

How many bundles do I need? Two to three with a closure, usually two with a frontal.

How do I make the parting look real? Bleach or tint the knots if needed, pluck lightly and add a little concealer along the part.

Closures & Frontals FAQs

What is the difference between a closure and a frontal?
A closure is a small lace piece, such as 4x4, that closes off the top of a sew-in. A frontal, such as 13x4, runs from ear to ear and recreates the whole hairline.
Which closure size should I choose?
A 4x4 is the easiest to fit and suits a middle or side part. A 5x5 or 6x6 gives more parting room. A 13x4 frontal lets you wear the hair pulled back.
What is the difference between free part and middle part?
A middle part closure has the parting already set in the centre. A free part closure has no set parting, so you can part it wherever you like.
