Toner corrects the colour of bleached or blonde hair. Lightened hair is naturally yellow or brassy, and a toner neutralises that warmth to give ash, ice, silver or pastel shades. We stock Jerome Russell Bblonde toners and toning drops, Bleach London toner kits and more.

Which one do you need?

  • Ash and Ice Blonde toners: cancel yellow for a cool, clean blonde.
  • Toning drops: concentrated pigment you add to shampoo, conditioner or a mask, so you control the strength.
  • Pastel toner kits: such as rose, for a soft tint over very light blonde.

Common questions

Will toner work on dark hair? No. Toner does not lighten. Hair needs to be bleached to a pale yellow first for most toners to show.

Why is my hair still orange after toning? Orange hair has not been lifted far enough for a blonde toner. It needs more lightening or a blue-based product.

How long does toner last? A few weeks. Purple shampoo once a week keeps brassiness away between toning.
