Collection: Lace Front Wigs

Lace Front Wigs

Lace front wigs give a natural-looking hairline. We stock over 400 styles in synthetic, human hair and blended hair, from brands including Sensationnel, Janet Collection, Sleek, Kali and Jazzy.

How to choose

  • Lace size: 13x4 and 13x6 frontals run ear to ear for free parting. 4x4 closures and lace part wigs have a smaller lace area and are easier to fit.
  • HD lace: a finer lace made to blend into the skin.
  • Synthetic: lower cost and holds its style. Check the label before using heat.
  • Human hair or blend: can be heat styled. See human hair lace front wigs.

Common questions

What is a lace front wig? A wig with a strip of sheer lace at the front hairline. Hairs are tied into the lace so it looks like hair growing from your scalp.

Do I need glue? Not always. Many wigs have combs and an adjustable band. For a firmer hold, use lace wig glue or spray.

How do I cut the lace? Trim the spare lace close to the hairline with small scissors, a little at a time, in a slight zig-zag so the edge looks soft.

Can I buy wigs in store in Leeds? Yes. All three shops stock wigs. See our Wig Shop Leeds page.

Lace Front Wigs FAQs

What's the difference between synthetic and human hair blend lace wigs?
Synthetic wigs are made from man-made fibre and tend to hold their set style, while human hair blend wigs mix real hair with synthetic fibre for a more natural look and feel. Check the individual product page to see which type a specific wig is.
Can I colour or heat style these wigs?
This depends on the fibre type, so always check the product page or pack instructions before applying heat or dye, as synthetic fibres can be damaged by styling tools unless stated as heat-friendly.
How do I fit and secure a lace front wig?
Lace front wigs are usually fitted using adjustable straps and combs inside the cap, with some people also using wig glue or tape along the hairline for extra hold. If using adhesive, always patch test on your skin first and follow the instructions on the glue or tape packaging.
What does '13x4' or '13x6' lace mean?
These numbers refer to the size of the lace panel at the front of the wig, with a larger size such as 13x6 giving more room for parting and styling versatility than a smaller 13x4 panel.
How do I look after a lace front wig?
Care will vary by fibre type and brand, so it's best to follow the washing and storage instructions included with your specific wig or check the product page for guidance.
