Collection: Hair Dye Remover

Hair Dye Remover

Hair colour removers take out unwanted permanent dye, and stain removers clean dye off the skin. We stock PRO:VOKE Hair Colour Remover, Crazy Color Back To Base and Vines Biocrin Stain Remover.

Which one do you need?

  • Colour remover: shrinks artificial permanent colour molecules so they can be rinsed out. It does not bleach and will not lighten your natural hair.
  • Back To Base: made to remove semi-permanent fashion colours.
  • Stain remover: for dye marks on the hairline, ears and hands.

Common questions

Will a colour remover take me back to my natural colour? Not always. Permanent dye lightens your natural hair as it colours, so you may be left with a warmer, lighter shade underneath.

Why did my hair go dark again? The colour was not rinsed out fully. Rinsing for the full time stated is the most important step.

Is it damaging? Less than bleach, but it is drying. Deep condition afterwards and wait before recolouring, as the leaflet advises. Do a skin test first.

Hair Dye Remover FAQs

What is the difference between a colour remover and a stain remover?
A colour remover takes artificial colour out of the hair. A stain remover cleans dye marks from the skin around the hairline.
Will a colour remover return my hair to its natural colour?
It removes artificial colour only. If your hair was lightened before it was coloured, it will not return to its natural shade.
Should I test a hair dye remover first?
Yes. Do a strand test and follow the instructions on the pack.
