Xpression braids are the braiding hair most braiders ask for by name. The fibre is soft, light and easy to grip, and seals in hot water. This collection covers Xpression Ultra Braid, Pre-Stretched Ultra Braid, Lagos Braid and multi-packs.

Which Xpression pack do you need?

  • Ultra Braid 82 inch: the classic folded pack. You stretch and feather the ends yourself. Good for box braids, cornrows and twists.
  • Pre-Stretched Ultra Braid 46 inch: ends already tapered, which saves time and gives a neat, natural finish.
  • Lagos Braid: a slightly fuller pack in 42 and 46 inch.
  • 3X and 6X packs: several bundles in one pack for full heads and long styles.

Common questions

How many packs of Xpression do I need? It depends on size and length, but as a guide two to three packs of Ultra Braid for medium box braids, and five to eight single pre-stretched bundles.

Does Xpression itch? Some people react to the coating on synthetic braiding hair. Soaking it in diluted apple cider vinegar and rinsing before use can help.

Can I mix colours? Yes. Blend two shades together before braiding for an ombre or highlighted look.
