Shop before your appointment
Many braiders and stylists ask you to bring your own hair. Order it here and have it delivered to London.
In the last 12 months our London customers ordered braiding and crochet hair, shampoo and leave-in creams most often.
How to choose braiding hair
Your braider will tell you what to bring. These basics help you buy the right hair first time.
- Ask how many packs. Pack sizes differ a lot between brands, so always ask your braider how many packs of which hair the style needs.
- Pre-stretched or regular. Pre-stretched hair has tapered ends, so it is quicker to braid and gives a neater finish. Regular hair needs stretching by hand first.
- Know the colour codes. 1 is jet black, 1B is off black, 2 is dark brown, 4 is medium brown, 27 is honey blonde, 30 is auburn and 613 is light blonde. A code starting with T, such as T1B/30, is a two-tone or ombre colour.
- Buy one colour batch. Get all your packs in one order so the shade matches.
