Collection: Hair Treatments

Hair Treatments

Hair treatments go beyond everyday conditioner to tackle a specific problem: dryness, breakage, a flaky scalp or damage from heat and chemicals. We stock over 550, including deep conditioners, hair mayonnaise, protein treatments, hot oils, scalp treatments and heat caps.

Which treatment do you need?

  • Moisture treatment: for dry, rough hair. Creams and masks left on for 15 to 30 minutes.
  • Protein treatment: for weak, stretchy or over-processed hair.
  • Hot oil treatment: a warmed pre-wash oil for dry hair and scalp.
  • Scalp treatment: medicated or soothing products for itching and dandruff.
  • Heat cap: worn over a treatment to help it work.

Common questions

Moisture or protein? Hair that feels dry and brittle usually wants moisture. Hair that feels limp, mushy or over-stretchy wants protein. Most hair needs mainly moisture with protein now and then.

How often should I treat my hair? Weekly for moisture, about monthly for strong protein.

Do treatments fix split ends? No. Only a trim does.

Hair Treatments FAQs

What is the difference between a protein and a moisture treatment?
Protein treatments strengthen weak or damaged hair. Moisture treatments soften dry hair. Most hair needs a balance of both.
How do I know if my hair needs protein?
Hair that feels limp, overly stretchy or breaks easily often needs protein. Hair that feels stiff and dry usually needs moisture instead.
How often should I use a protein treatment?
Follow the pack. Strong treatments are usually spaced several weeks apart, with a moisturising conditioner afterwards.
