The IC Fantasia Hair Polisher Heat Protector range guards hair against straighteners, hot combs and blow-dryers while adding shine. It is a favourite for silk presses. The collection includes the Straightening Serum, Straightening Spray, Styling Creme, Styling Foam and a sulphate-free shampoo and conditioner.

Which one do you need?

  • Straightening Serum: the classic. A few drops through clean, dry hair before flat ironing, for a smooth, glossy finish.
  • Straightening Spray: lighter than the serum and good for fine hair, in 2 oz and 6 oz.
  • Styling Creme: for thick or coarse hair that needs extra smoothing before a blow-dry.
  • Styling Foam: for setting and wrapping.
  • Shampoo and Conditioner: the first step on wash day before heat styling.

Common questions

Do I apply heat protector to wet or dry hair? Cremes and foams go on damp hair before blow-drying. Serum and spray go on dry hair before straightening.

How much serum should I use? Two or three drops per section. Too much makes hair greasy and can cause smoke on the iron.

Does heat protector stop all damage? No. It reduces it. Use the lowest heat that works and avoid going over the same section repeatedly.
