Petroleum Jelly FAQs

What is petroleum jelly used for?
It forms a protective barrier on the skin. People use it on dry patches, lips, elbows, heels and to protect minor chafing.
Does petroleum jelly moisturise the skin?
It seals moisture in but does not add any. Apply it over damp skin or on top of a lotion.
Can I use petroleum jelly on my face?
A thin layer is fine on dry areas and lips. It can feel heavy on oily or spot-prone skin.
