Faux Locs & Loc Braids FAQs

What are faux locs?
Faux locs are ready-made synthetic locs that give the look of dreadlocks without locking your own hair. Most are crocheted onto cornrows or individual braids.
What is the difference between butterfly locs and soft locs?
Butterfly locs have a looped, distressed texture for a messy, bohemian finish. Soft locs are smooth, light and flexible.
How long do crochet locs last?
With a satin bonnet at night and regular scalp care, most people wear them for several weeks. Take them down sooner if your scalp feels tight or sore.
