Which gel do you need?

  • Styling gel: all-over hold for ponytails, buns and slick styles. Eco Styler is the best known, with different oils for different needs.
  • Curl gel: defines curls and coils with less crunch. Apply to soaking wet hair in sections.
  • Edge control: a thicker gel for baby hairs and hairlines.
  • Braiding gel: grips the hair for neat partings and smooth braids.
  • Liquid gel: lighter hold for wraps and setting.

Common questions

How do I stop gel flaking? Use less, apply to wet hair and avoid layering it over a leave-in that does not mix well. Test the two in your palm first.

Is alcohol-free gel better? For dry or afro hair, yes. Alcohol-free gels are less drying.

How do I soften a gel cast? Once hair is fully dry, scrunch with a few drops of oil on your hands.
